Government Polytechnic Sheikhpura (GP Sheikhpura) was established in 2016 with the vision of connecting education, research, and industry to meet the growing demands of technical education. The institute is affiliated with the State Board of Technical Education (SBTE), Bihar, and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Currently, the institute offers diploma programs in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics Engineering, and Computer Science & Engineering (CSE). The Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) program received AICTE affiliation/approval from the academic session 2026 onwards.
